Michael Chalkhoun
Founder & Executive Director
After graduating from Herzliah High School in 2018, Michael started a tutoring program to provide affordable tutoring to the Montreal Jewish community. Michael earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Minor in Management at McGill University. Following his studies, he pursued his passion for teaching, driven by a desire to empower Jewish youth and help them succeed. As the Owner and Executive Director at J.A.S.S., he is committed to strengthening students’ confidence and emotional intelligence, helping them navigate contemporary educational challenges, develop a strong mindset, and take ownership of their learning. His impact extends beyond academics, guiding students to believe in themselves and their potential.
Jacqueline Lisbona
Program Manager - Bialik Study Hall
After graduating from Bialik High School during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Jacqueline joined J.A.S.S. in 2021 during her first year of CEGEP. Now a third-year journalism student at Concordia University, Jacqueline is the program manager for J.A.S.S. Study Hall at Bialik High School and has taken on a leadership role within the J.A.S.S. organization. She loves connecting with her students, supporting their growth, and celebrating their successes. For Jacqueline, tutoring is not just a job, it’s a rewarding opportunity to inspire and empower others.


Alexa Lampert
McGill Campus Representative and Marketing Lead
After graduating from Westmount Collegiate Institute in 2023, Lexi joined J.A.S.S. during her second year at McGill University, tutoring at Bialik High School while studying Liberal Arts and Jewish Studies on a Pre-Law Track. Now finishing her second year at McGill, Lexi has taken on a leadership role at J.A.S.S. as McGill Campus Representative and Marketing Lead, bringing J.A.S.S. to University students. She loves collaborating and working with students of all ages and understands the need for affordable help for university students. Lexi is looking forward to growing the program and meeting new people!
Shirel Dahan
Program Manager - UTT Study Hall
Shirel is currently completing her Health Sciences degree at Dawson College. A proud Herzliah High School graduate, she has extensive experience tutoring students, helping them achieve their academic goals while building confidence as learners. As the Program Manager for the Study Hall program at United Talmud Torahs, Shirel brings her approachable style and deep understanding of student needs to create a supportive learning environment. A key member of the J.A.S.S. Leadership Team, she is dedicated to inspiring students and guiding them toward success.
